It seems like there’s quite a bit of interest in the Digital Signage FAIL section and we are glad people like reading this educational information. So, for our next FAIL image, have a look at the below picture. The power and video cables are just hanging from the screen to a power point located near the bottom of the wall. The owner tried to cleverly use the vase with flowers to hide the cables and the power point – nice try!
FAIL FEATURES
The power cables and the video cable are just hanging from the screen to the power and video outlet
Still has the Energy rating sticker which indicates to me that it’s not a commercial grade screen
SUGGESTIONS/RECOMMENDATIONS
Install conduit so that the cables can be neatly routed to the outlets
Relocate the power point to the back of the screen
Before looking for a location to install the screen and bracket, make sure there is a power point
