Digital signage, food trucks and social media
Here’s a picture of a great way to combine digital signage, food trucks and social media. The food truck is from AYAM – if you haven’t heard of them they provide asian food products.
In the picture you will see that they were running a promotion for Chinese New Year. On the side of the truck they had a digital signage solution that consisted of a screen displaying social media images from Instagram. The competition was as follows:
1. Buy any AYAM meal
2. SNAP a photo of the meal or the AYAM Foor Truck and share your Chinese New year wish on Instagram using #iloveayam
Don’t forget to tag us @ayamaustralia
3. Show photo to promotional staff and collrect your Coconut.
Yes! They were giving away free coconut water (330ml).
In addition, all the entries will automatically go in the draw to win 1 of 12 AYAM Gift baskets!
This was a great way to engage customers to interact with staff and promote AYAM. Nice work!

This is actually a pretty interesting post, At first I had problem reading the sign on the “ayam” food truck – it is interesting a “water coconut” food truck – where is this food truck?
This food truck was located in Sydney Australia for a Chinese New Year event. Based on the information on the truck I think this could have been just a once off unless they reprint the text on the side of the truck as it specifically says Chinese New Year.
